Additional keys to managing anxiety and stress
Energy can also be a source of stress or of increased stress levels. Its circulation may be impeded by a blockage in the body, mental agitation or in the nadis ( energy circuits.....subtils...)
Energy
Yoga, Qigong and taichi work together to restore the healthy circulation of energy...... which will be the foundation on which to build the future
Several things interact
Our energy level .... see above
The environment: Pressure from people or external causes: environment.
Impressions are like food for the mind and the subconscious
Past experiences that have left a "trace" of reaction or emotional imprint ......memories
Food for the mind: what we read and watch... which influences our conscious and subconscious minds
Sense perceptions
Our senses are either over-used ... putting great pressure on the nervous system-stress
Or underused ... inertia sets ininertia
Or mistreated: images charged with negative emotions...violent films...violent sounds...abuse...of all kindsabus
A few keys to reducing stress
A first key consists in a certain "active" detachment from what our senses perceive...not to enter totally into it...not to seize and manufacture instant concepts with it...but on the contrary, with the help of meditation, to multiply approaches to lived experience in order to get as close as possible to real meaning
A second key is to raise one's level of existence and ethics through a freely chosen personal discipline, with appropriate daily time for internal work
break time
A third key is not to identify totally with your mind .... Which, for most of us, is a bundle of uncontrolled thoughts
A fourth key, when the mind is a little calmer, is to be an attentive, silent and ungrasping witness of the mind's activity and the effects of our connection to the outside world... for example: actions based on something I lack, we try to fill something that is empty inside. This has to do with desire, which creates yet another need...as on other levels...there will be no end.....
A fifth key is to organize your schedule...we need to take time out...get in touch with nature .... Practicing physical hygiene where we feel good about our bodies
A sixth key consists in repositioning with a certain flexibility what we consider to be good and bad / right and wrong / just and unjust / true and false / successes and failures / true self-motivation and actions out of fear of the judgment of others ...etc.....
A seventh key consists in raising our "ethical" participation in the world by giving to others ... according to our abilities and possibilities ..Love , Knowledge ...or Time..... (knowing that we must limit our actions to what is "achievable" with our abilities and personality .....and start with small things before tackling the big ones... otherwise we'll fall back into the wheel of stress....de la mission impossible)
An eighth key is to look at our past mistakes with compassion, with the awareness that every act in our lives was carried out at the level of the time... what's important is the progress we've made and the road we're on ....
A ninth key: meditation gives subconscious impressions the opportunity to surface... These impressions have entered us with the senses .... We can't avoid impressions, but with a certain discipline and hygiene we can act to avoid being overly influenced by them, and to avoid creating new, "negative" ones.
